Many of BGAN's initiatives were organized around days of action, where activists travelled together to sites of protests such as Washington DC or Philadelphia, or rallied in Boston proper. Enormous amounts of logistical and outreach work went into such efforts, and in many cases, the key organizers were coordinating the tasks for the very first time.
Unfortunately, hard reporting on such one-day events is often neglected, leading to a loss of institutional memory of all the work put into the effort. Indeed, the need to maintain archival materials on such protest actions emerged as one of the principal uses of this web site. As BGAN has no permanent office space, the internet will serve as its virtual operating center, and this section will maintain a running record of the Network's campaigns.
