Financial Assistance

The Himalayan Trust receives funds only for its projects. It does not have a corpus or any fixed assets. It has received financial assistance for its projects from the following sources:

  • Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH)
  • Friedrich Ebert Stiftung
  • World Wide Fund for Nature India
  • Panos Institute
  • Ministry of Environment and Forests
  • Swajal Project Management Unit of the UP Government’s Rural Department

The Himalaya Trust has bank account No. 26078 at the Bank of India, Khan Market, New Delhi 110003 open specifically for foreign donations. These can be forwarded by any American Bank either direct to the Bank of India or through any New Delhi bank with the appropriate arrangements, with instructions to transfer the funds to Himalaya Trust, Bank of India SB account mentioned above. Copies of such remittances should be sent to:
