At your service,

26 January, 2004

Respected Gentleman,

We are the residents of LATA village which is a small village in Chamoli. People in the village live communally together. The Dhauli Ganga River flows near our village. In our village we are celebrating the Baisakhi Festival. Nanda Devi Mahila festival was recently celebrated and a Cricket Tournament is being started today on 26 January 2004 in our village.

These days people are putting cow dung in their fields. Here the crops are potato, millet, masur, lentil, phaphar, ogal etc. It is very cold these days and sometimes it also snows. We celebrated Basant Panchami in our village and danced the Jeetu Bagdal.

The trek to Nanda Devi goes through our village. Lata is the name of our village. You are always welcome here to travel. There are three schools, M.G.School, Junior High and Primary school.

Please forgive us for any our mistakes.

Thank you,

Students of Lata Village
